July - September

In full swing of summer, we keep up a busy pace of activities, including camping & more camping. Then along came that horrible word that starts with an "S" - school:(
* July - We went on an all Carey family camping trip at the end of the month to Mount Nittany KOA in New Columbia. The boys had a blast with their cousins at the petting zoo, swimming pool and the camp store!
It's feeding time!

* August - We celebrated the end of summer with a trip to Knoebel's swimming pool. The boys have never been there before, and they had been begging to go. The weather was perfect; nice and hot; especially since the water is always freezing. They were a little afraid to try out the slides, but an hour before we left they gathered up enough bravery to try it out. The result....they LOVED it!!

Let's do that again!
We also celebrated Conner's 8th birthday in August. He certainly is one who enjoys the attention! We had a family party for him at home and had another mini party when we camping over his actual birthday. He is lucky to have survived this birthday because 1 day before his b-day (the day we left to go camping) he rammed the golf cart into the side of the white truck. Oops!
Trying to be Mr. Cool

* September - Our 2nd and last house project this year was to rip out the concrete sidewalk behind the garage and put in pavers. It was like a giant puzzle that stumped us a few times, but eventually we managed to get them all to fit. And it is level, too!
What a nice improvement!

September was also another camping month. On this trip we went along with our "regular" camping friends, but had the priviledge of having another couple from church join us. They were like our mom & dad for the weekend. For this trip we went back to Little Pine State Park where we did a bunch of geocaching. I also took some breath-taking photographs as well.
The very muddy geocaching gang.
