One Step at a Time

I haven't reported much on any home improvements lately, but that's because there haven't been any! Well, I lie. Near the end of August Karl used his handy dandy tractor with frontend loader to rip out the concrete sidewalk that leads up to the back deck. Gone is the old, uneven, cracked-up sidewalk. It has been replaced with beautiful stone pavers.

With Karl's latest boy-toy purchase (his very own dump trailer) we will get some topsoil to fill in around the sidewalk and replant the grass. I am also in the process of deciding which plants I want to plant by the mailbox so I can build a stonewall around it. Then there is the issue with the front sidewalk. Karl wants to rip out the old one and replace it with stone pavers, but this time make it curvy. We shall see how long it takes to accomplish that improvement!
