* * * BIRDS and FISH * * *

These are some birds and fish we saw during our snorkeling trip to and from the island of Anguilla, which is just north of St. Maarten.

We saw lots of pelicans on our trip. This one had been diving for fish infront of us.

This is a "brown boobie".

Joseph, one of the crew, is holding a Mahi Mahi that we caught. We couldn't actually hold a fishing rod, so as we were sailing Joseph baited a rod and let it drag behind the boat. On our way back to St. Maarten we caught this.

In the photo below, Joseph is holding a needle fish...that is what the Mahi Mahi just ate for lunch!
