We spent a long weekend camping with all our Carey relatives at Nittany Mountain KOA. It was a great weekend with lots of fun and food. The boys enjoyed their time with their cousins that live in Maryland. As you can imagine, with 5 boys ages 3-10, there's not much down time. We kept busy doing the following activities:
Each day they rode on an old firetruck around the campground.
Conner and Levi
The biggest hit among the kids was the petting zoo. Two times a day they were allowed to go in the pen and feed the animals.
David feeding the fawn with Conner and Eric patiently waiting their turns.
Karch giving the fawn the last few drops of milk.
The boys also went swimming in the pool, rode their bikes and frequented the camp store! We played Bingo one night, and Karch was the big winner - $8!! After it stopped raining Saturday morning, Grammie Carey took the boys on a nature hike so the adults could play a game of Mexican Train in peace and quiet. What would we do without Grammie!
The highlight of the weekend for me was when some of us went GeoCaching. It was neat to see 3 generations of Careys hiking in the woods looking for the "treasure".
After so much fun this year, we all are looking forward to next year's Carey Family Gathering!
