Firewood

We were in desperate need this weekend to get to the mountains for a load of firewood for our upcoming camping trip. Karl spotted a perfect tree so he hiked 30 yards into the woods to cut it down with his chainsaw.

He'd saw away and stop to look and try to push it over, but it wasn't enough.

So back to some more chainsawing!

Toward the end, he got the chain stuck, and just as he pulled the chainsaw out, the tree just kind of stepped off the stump and stood straight up!

I guess that tree wasn't quite so perfect after all!

Needless to say, that tree stumped us so we went in search of another tree to chop down.
